The Greek Grape

YOUR SOURCE FOR ALL THINGS GREEK WINE-RELATED

Wanna Visit Greece!?

Some of you may know this already. The Greek Grape is going to launch a truly EPICUREAN wine and dine tourism company later this year! We have all seen or used the word “epicurean” in some aspect of our lives, typically around foods, gourmet delights, wine.

Some background: Epicureanism is a system of philosophy based upon the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus, founded around 307 BC. (Thanks Wikipedia). Along with Dionysus, I think Epicurus is one of my favorite old Greek dudes. Labeled as a hedonist, this guy was all about pleasure but not in the way we think of hedonism today. He believed in the highest form of happiness achieved by a perpetual state of tranquility and absence of physical pain. To me that screams AMAZING FOOD, WINE and CULTURE!

I have been and taken many colleagues, friends and family on many food and wine trips throughout ALL of Greece. The memories, the photos, the scents, the smells…I want to share it with you! I am passionate about the fact you cannot “do Greece” by going to Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, or a cruise that skirts the sea. You need to see the North, the South, the Peloponnese, the Islands. Each region has different wines, different cuisines, different people, different histories. It truly is a shame if you can’t experience it all.

Stay tuned for more details in the next couple months. But in the meantime…and if you haven’t already, I put together a VERY quick survey to gather information on what YOU would want out of a trip like this. I would appreciate it if you could take literally 3.5 minutes and fill it out. What you tell me is what you will experience! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7KGP7TS

ας το κάνουμε!!!!
